Is there a product you use/sell that I can finish up my long haired golden retriever's bath with? When she goes swimming, she comes out with 'snots'. Term we used in salon for 'snarls/knots' all rolled tight to the skin. I have tried several conditioners but nothing helps. She is 6-8" long silky fur. She loves to swim but I feel so guilty for the combing out process. HELP????
The key is to find something that will accommodate her long fur. You mentioned that you have tried several conditioners, but have you tried any of the following brands?
8 in 1 Perfect Coat Moisturizing Conditioning Rinse for Dogs (SKU: 159859) John Paul Pet Oatmeal Dog Conditioning Rinse (SKU: 1090313) Espree Natural Demat Detangle Spray (SKU: 1291777) Isle of Dogs Coature No. 63 Detangle Conditioning Mist for Dogs (SKU: 1298054) Isle of Dogs Coature No. 51 Heavy Management Conditioner for Dogs (SKU: 1298046)
I hope you find something that will help. Good luck!
Have you changed her food to a high quality food? The only reason I ask is that food plays a big part in a dog or cat's shedding. Feeding a healthy quality food will definitely improve your dog's skin and coat. The FURminator is a great tool to have handy and that should help matters.
I would try taking her to a professional groomer on a regular basis to see if you notice a difference in the shedding. They have high velocity dryers that can blow quite a bit of the undercoat out.
The other suggestion would be to try a supplement that contains omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, something like salmon oil, or cod liver oil. There are a few products you can look into, just don't use them all at the same time:
Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil (SKU: 1020803) PETCO Salmon Oil for Dogs (SKU: 1139088) PETCO Omega 3 Gel Caps (SKU: 1095382)
The Only Natural Pet line manufactures products as well, however, I don't believe that Petco carries those. One is "Only Natural Pet Pure Salmon Oil" and the other is "Only Natural Pet Pure Icelandic Cod Liver Oil".
I hope that you're able to find a product that will work, good luck!

what kind of brush is best for a siberian huskey puppy?
should i get a shedding brush or clippers or a regular brush with detagler spray,... i'm a new huskey owner and have no idea how to groom them.
The only tools you'll need are a slicker brush, a dematting/detangler spray and a FURminator, no clippers! The slicker brush will remove mats and tangles and the FURminator, while pricey, will remove undercoat and loose hair:
Four Paws Ultimate Touch Slicker Wire Brushes (SKU: 814032) FURminator deShedding Tool for Medium Dogs (SKU: 1361090)
Huskies should only be bathed once or twice a year. Good luck!

How much is it to get like a full grooming thing for my yorkie?
What's the best way to keep my westie groomed without drying out her skin too much?
I've done research on why my puppy is scratching all the time, and many places said it's because of washing her too much. I was giving her a bath every week, but now I try and wait two weeks. The problem is that she starts to smell so bad that I can't go longer than two weeks without giving her a bath. Her Skin is still itchy but not nearly as bad.
How about looking into wipes? You can most likely use them daily, and you'll be able to keep the dog smelling fresh between baths. You can also look into waterless shampoos and freshening spritzers. There are a lot of products to choose from, it's all going to come down to what will work best with your pooch's skin:
Earthbath All Natural Hypo-Allergenic and Fragrance Free Grooming Wipes (SKU: 1365193) Petkin Deodorizing Doggy Wipes Instant Pet Bath (SKU: 228532) FURminator Deodorizing Waterless Pet Spray (SKU: 1379534) John Paul Pet Waterless Foam Dog & Cat Shampoo (SKU: 1109707) Earthbath Totally Natural Vanilla Almond Deodorizing Dog Spritz (SKU: 944726) Earthbath Hypo-Allergenic Waterless Grooming Foam Totally Natural Dog Shampoo (SKU: 1412078) Viva La Dog Spa Powder Puff Dog Grooming Spritz (SKU: 1227149) TropiClean Natural Pet Spray Colognes (SKU: 1233645) Crazy Dog Baby Dog Baby Powder Scented Grooming Spray for Puppies & Dogs (SKU: 721026) Dirty and Hairy Protect Pet Spray (SKU: 1134485) Cloud Star Buddy Splash Dog Spritzer (SKU: 1172824)

How much does it cost for full service grooming of a standard poodle?
You should never give a flea bath when you're using topical flea prevention already. You can give your pet an overdose of the poison that is used to kill the fleas and they can get sick. No flea shampoo should ever be used after applying topical flea prevention. If you want to use K9 Advantix, you should wait about 10 days before giving a non-flea bath so that the medication has had time to absorb into the skin and become effective. If you want to bathe your dog and use flea shampoo, it would be wise to bathe the dog first and THEN apply the medication.
Yes you should try to groom your maltepoo. A soft bristle brush as well as a comb or two would be beneficial. A pin brush should also be used to detangle and do regular daily grooming. A grooming or conditioning mist/spray should also be used to prevent breakage when brushing.
They don't necessarily NEED it, but if their paw pads are dry and cracked, it's recommended. I use the Espree natural paw balm, and it works like a charm. If you go to a Petco Grooming Salon and Spa, more likely than not, they will have it in there.
