Puppies as young as 8 weeks shouldn't need toothpaste just yet and I don't think that putting artificial ingredients into their little mouths is beneficial.

Yes! It is actually best to start brushing your dog's teeth as a puppy so they get used to it and it is easy for you. Puppy may not like it at first, but give a treat afterwards, and they will look forward to brushing their teeth. Vet has told me that in an ideal world, you should brush your dog's teeth everyday. I use this product every 1-2 days on my dogs. Make sure to brush puppy's teeth at least every other day, because otherwise plaque will build up and the only way to remove is a dental cleaning at the vet. I had to get a dental for my rescue dog that was a 2 year old stray when we got him, and it was almost four hundred dollars!
