Yes this does work my husband built a frame out of wood we raised the windowto desired height closed window and secured it in my laundry room works GREAT!!!

There's no reason you couldn't paint this door. It comes in white, but it's painted baked to aluminum. I would recommend roughing it up a bit with sand paper to ensure the primer sticks well.

That I do not know. We have not tried it yet but I doo not see why not being as the petdoors are aluminum.

I am looking at buying the aluminum pet door for exterior doors. Can you lock that door for safety? Also, can the small door fit a large cat?

The door comes with a sturdy aluminum slide in panel that has a spring loaded pin that locks it into place from the interior side of the door. As far as your cat question I really don't know.

I can at least answer half of you questions. This door comes with a plastics locking security door that slides into place and locks with a pin.

Do you know if the aluminum & plastic are the exact same size?

Just moved into a place with the LARGE plastic version of this door. Replacing with the aluminum version. Wondering if they are the same size or if I will need to do additional cutting. Thanks!

Hi- we have a aluminum screen door we want to put a dog door in- can that be done? can you install it for us?

We don't have the tools to cut the hole for the dog door in our aluminum screen door- can you recommend how to do this- or give us a contact of who might be able to help us please? thanks!
