Questions & Answers for Natural Defense Sentry Natural Defense Flea & Tick Carpet Powder

How do you get all the flea powder or smell out of your room?

I used this product 5 days ago and I cannot get the smell to leave my room. I have vacuumed numerous times and dusted everything in sight. I am afraid to sleep in my room, for fear of breathing in dust all night long. Any help would be appreciated!

I used a heavy-duty vacuum with a brand new high-quality filter that is specially made for dry wall dust, but worked for this too.

I have been having the same problem and it is getting better with each carpet cleaning I do. So far I have cleaned the carpets twice and the house is more comfortable and I hope one more time will make it livable.

Usually you don't have to keep it on the carpet for more than an hour or two. Yes you do have to vacuum the product up it will not only get the pesticide out of your carpet but also suck up some of the dead fleas and their eggs. Put a flea collar in the vacuum canister and dump out the vacuum as soon as you're done and take it outside to keep live fleas from reinfesting your home. Before applying make sure animals and children are kept away from the treated carpet because in case they inhale it, it can cause respiratory infections. Keep in mind it is a pesticide designed to kill so play it safe and the pets and children away.
