Anywhere from 7-9 y.o. However, I was also told adult to senior/mature doesn't really make much of a difference except for fat content. Some cats will eat more when on senior/mature food because they feel like they don't have enough fat, and just obese.

Question

Can I feed my 4 & 6 year old cats this food as well? We have an older cat (14 years) and they all eat from each other's bowls.

I feed my 12 year old cat the same kitten food that I feed my 6 month old kitten. It won't hurt an older cat to eat kitten food, you just want to be sure they're not gaining too much weight on it. My older cat has done fine on the kitten food. :) Good luck!

According to our vet, yes. Our vet recommended Wellness Core grain free food for our older, prediabetic cat. We have another younger, very slender and healthy cat and they do eat from each other's bowl occasionally. Our vet said that it would be fine for both to eat the Wellness Core food, in fact she said it is really a much better diet for cats and more closely matches what they would eat "in the wild". So not only would it not harm our oher cat, it would probably be healthier than typical cheaper store bought brands.

Definitely weight management. Being heavier than they should be make them 3 times older than they already are health wise. I buy based of off ingredients , fiber for hairballs, fat then protein in that order and have 4 cats - 3 of which are 12, 10, and 14. The only thing for seniors is sometimes added glucosamine which u could always add yourself. Also a few cans of wet food a week is good for seniors too.
