Anywhere from 7-9 y.o. However, I was also told adult to senior/mature doesn't really make much of a difference except for fat content. Some cats will eat more when on senior/mature food because they feel like they don't have enough fat, and just obese.

Can I feed my 4 & 6 year old cats this food as well? We have an older cat (14 years) and they all eat from each other's bowls.

I feed my 12 year old cat the same kitten food that I feed my 6 month old kitten. It won't hurt an older cat to eat kitten food, you just want to be sure they're not gaining too much weight on it. My older cat has done fine on the kitten food. :) Good luck!

According to our vet, yes. Our vet recommended Wellness Core grain free food for our older, prediabetic cat. We have another younger, very slender and healthy cat and they do eat from each other's bowl occasionally. Our vet said that it would be fine for both to eat the Wellness Core food, in fact she said it is really a much better diet for cats and more closely matches what they would eat "in the wild". So not only would it not harm our oher cat, it would probably be healthier than typical cheaper store bought brands.

I have a 15 year old and a 9 year old, both females. The 15 year old, because she tends to get constipated and urinary tract infections on other foods, I have no problems with her on Blue Indoor Freedom canned food, moistened down to where it's like runny oatmeal by adding filtered water. It also helps since she had all of her teeth that she would chew with removed. Blue makes a senior freedom, but my local Petco doesn't stock it. That would be ideal. They need more fiber at their age! The 9 year old eats Blue Indoor Adult dry, but I add warm water to it and let it sit until it's moist, and she does really well on it. Her pooh is not too hard and not too soft, so she doesn't need added fiber just yet, thankfully. To add fiber, mix in some organic canned pumpkin to it. Make sure it's organic and no added sugars and spices like the one's that come out in the fall for making pumpkin pies. I keep a can or two available for when my oldest needs it. Adding about a teaspoon per 1/2 can serving should help remedy constipation. But if no pooh happens in a day, a vet visit may be necessary so that toxins don't build up that can make them very sick. That happened to my oldest and my vet put her on prescription high fiber food for a while and she loved it, and her constipation was over, but it's not meant as a permanent diet. Since then, she's been doing just fine in Blue Buffalo's Indoor Freedom that's grain free. Hope any of this helps.

Blue Buffalo's canned food is the only canned food my cat of 5 yrs will eat happily and consistently, just does not like it refrigerated.. Their product has only healthy ingredients. they have some canned foods labeled for kittens or mature, maybe just the regular without those designations would satisfy both of them

Definitely weight management. Being heavier than they should be make them 3 times older than they already are health wise. I buy based of off ingredients , fiber for hairballs, fat then protein in that order and have 4 cats - 3 of which are 12, 10, and 14. The only thing for seniors is sometimes added glucosamine which u could always add yourself. Also a few cans of wet food a week is good for seniors too.
