The roof is lined well and "shingled"(decorative textured tar paper), so I feel like the roof is sufficiently waterproof. Though, the floor is slatted, so if a large amount of rain, would easily seep up from the floor. Also the doorway is quite 'open' so depending on the amount of wind during the rain, the rain could blow in pretty easily. (though there are 'plastic strip' doors you can purchase separately that might help with deterring that).

It doesn't leak, but any sort of angle to the rain/precipitation and it goes right in the front of the dog house. Would probably be fine if it was on a porch or under another sort of covering?

My dog has been in the house in heavy rains. She never gets wet!

Hi, mine is NOT. Going to try to use sealant to make it water tight. Unfortunately it's rained all weekend and we had to bring the dog in the house because the dog house and all his bedding were soaked!
