I use this on a daily basis adding it to the food I feed the dog. Sasha is a 10+-year old Shih Tsu and her stain problem has practically vanished. I don't know what this may do over the long haul, but I can't believe the dark red staining she gets on her face is good for her. There are no noticeable side-effects to this product. When this bottle is used up I will not hesitate buying another.

I used another brand of stain remover and I only used it until the stains went away which took 1 month. I then discontinued use and it has been 3 years since then and stains never came back at all! So I do not know if product is meant to be for a lifetime or just a small amount of time until stains go away.

Angels Eyes works on future staining. If your dog already has tear staining, it will not remove that. There are numerous products you can use to remove current staining. I used pads made to clean existing stains and once they were cleaned I haven't had a re-ocurrence using Angels Eyes as directed.

I used chicken but I imagine a puppy would like either chicken or beef. Most puppies are not very picky. Mix either one in with their foodand I don't think you will have a problem
