Questions & Answers for Natural Balance Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Canned Cat & Kitten Food

Question

Transition

My cat was diagnosed w/IBD last year & I am currently transitioning him to NB Venison/Green Pea LID. He loves it but is having a couple of more bowel movements daily than he did before even though they are firm. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. Both of my cats experienced more bowel movements once they were switched to this food. They were always firm, though, and vet said increase in water would do that.

Yes, I noticed this too, but I think before this food my cat was constipated. She definitely had a bloated stomach, which has totally disappeared. Good Luck!

Question

What are the best low ash and low magnesium pet foods for male cats with urinary tract problems?

I would like suggestions for both canned and dry cat foods for urinary tract health that are non-prescription, high in good protein not by-products, reasonably priced, but with needed vitamins and minerals for optimum health.

I know several do, but the first one that comes to mind is the Wellness brand which not only has Omega 3's, but also Omega 6. You might look at those. They are fairly highly rated although I don't have personal experience with them yet.

I have had this problem more than once on this site. The same problem of the site "Freezing up" happened when I tried submitting order. I have gone back two and three times and finally my order sent. I don't know if it is an IT problem or order volume problem. Next time I will call customer service.
