yes, i think this house is big enough for dwarf hamsters. My winter white sleeps on the bootom and still has plenty of room. The second story is kind of small though. Another great plus is that if your hamster is like mine, you will catch him sitting (or sleeping) on the roof.

No, maybe for some hamsters but not for mine. If u check my review, I stated that my best friend is babysitting my hamster and she has the house. My hamster is a big, fat, syrian hamster and she LOVES IT!!! So it's not too little, maybe for some hamsters but for MINE? Nope!

No not really. I had a hamster named Marigold who was a bit "chubby" and she loved this house. She would sleep downstairs and hangout and eat upstairs. This works well for mice, syrian hamsters, gerbils, and dwarf hamsters. Sadly Marigold has passed since but I will always remember her.

I would think it would be a bit small for a rat, most rats i have seen are quite larger than the biggest hamster i have seen. Maybe for a juvenile but anything larger would be too big for the house.

Hello,

YES! I bought this house a few years ago. I placed it in my NORMAL hamster cage and it's perfect!!! The house is made of edible material...so it's OK for them to chew too!
And the house's bright colors are an added bonus!

It is pretty sturdy, even with a hamster that chews alot it would take quite an effort. Now by a rabbit or guinea pig, maybe, but a hamster may chew abit on it but i would not think he would chew the whole thing, at least very quickly. But it ultimately depends on the animal. Hope this helps a bit!

If you're asking about the Hideaway box it would be fine for gerbils. You could get something smaller too depending how big your cage is. We have three rats and the largest is the size of six gerbils and the Hideaway box fits her and her two cage mates with room to spare.

answer 2
Certainly. As a rat owner, I suggest using 'Super Pet Quick and Clean'. It clears the smell right up, though its technically for the animal itself. A few spurts onto the cage and a wipe down, and then a few more into the air afterwards.

Clean him as well for good measure. (I use a rag and wipe it on my girls, otherwise they get scared of it)

-It also helps to use a fan to ventilate the smell.

No, I have the Crittertrail One Pink Edition and it does not fit in the cage. I mean it fits, but there is absolutely NO room for anything else at all. What I did was use a standard 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper box and cut a hole in the side and connected the box to the attachment hole of my hamster's cage. I filled the box with bedding, toys, a dust bath, chew treats, and placed the 2-story Hamster Home inside.
Also, I believe the house only comes in the one color set, light brown wood with a blue painted roof, red painted level landing and treat tray, and yellow climbing ramp.
