I have found that one diffuser works to about 60sq ft. I am only using one diffuser at the moment and I have it plugged in to a main hallway socket so that it is in a high traffic area - between where they nap and their litter box location. My appartment is over 1000sq ft and one diffuser has worked out well for me.

I have to say that after using it, I have noticed that when I put only one of these in our kitchen, dining room, living room area, about 600 sq. ft. that it did not have the same effect as in our 360 sq. ft. bedroom area. I think about 400 sq. ft. is the most area I would expect just 1 felliway dispenser to handle from my experience.

You may not want to switch kitty litter at the same time that you are making other changes in kitty's life. Sometimes if the litter is strange to them they not want to use the box. However, this litter is one of the best litters I have ever used and I would highly recommend it.

What voltage is this rated for? 110-120 or 110-240?

It's rated at 110 volts. It should work with an adapter for 220 if you need that. Be advised that the diffuser when plugged in sets 3 inches (7.6 cm) out from the wall socket. And a full bottle tends to tug downward where it connects to the socket. If you use an adapter that can add another 1 inch (2.54 cm) or more to how far it sticks out from the wall, which will also add to the downward angle it may hang while the bottle is full. So, select a snug fitting receptacle when you plug it in.

answer 2
Hi missApple,
I spent some time overseas where I had to use an adapter for my electronics so that I could plug a 110volt item into a 220volt outlet and be able to use it. An adapter should work with this, but the diffuser is more bulky than most electrical diffusers are and heavier even though the bottle is light weight plastic. So when I plug it in to my outlet here it sticks out 3 inches (7.6 cm) away from the wall and the weight pulls at the connection so you need a good tight fit for it where the prongs insert into the receptacle, a loose outlet is not advisable. A voltage adapter could add another 1 inch (2.54 cm) or more to how far it extends from the wall socket. The "head" of the diffuser does twist so that it can adapt to horizontal, verticle, or diagonally aligned sockets, but again the weight of a full bottle can be a problem. The diffuser does get warm with electricity constantly running through it.
I hope that helps.

Question

What product will help cats that lick a lot?

My cat is 11years old and has been licking and itching a lot. To the point where he is going bald. He just developed an allergy to Advantage and we are at the end of a long battle with fleas. Will a calming product help him calm down? What else can I do to relieve this situation? Shampoos? Flea med that is less harsh.

Sounds like your baby is bored or nervous. If nervous, try Comfort Zone Feliway plug-ins. they give off a scent only cats smell and they are cat pheromones (hormones cats have in them for scenting). My cat was a mental case and they worked for her. Many times these guys get bored, get some quiet, not noisy, rubber balls to throw around the house. He's have a ball.

Also, baby, could be in pain, at 11 arthritis sets in, check that with your vet!! They have meds for pain like Ultram and GAbapentin to help little darling out if he's in pain.

Hi there; first I would rule out if his meds might be causing him itchiness; if the meds make him itch, no product will alleviate that. That being said, I find that the PetNarturals Calming Chews help my cat immensely; I happen to also use 'BachFlowerRemedy, for pets", as it has no harmful alcohol; it comes in liquid form, i put 4 drops in his water each day and when he is stressed i give him 4 drops orally and that does the trick. Each pet is different, and I have found that there is no escaping just trying different things until I find a combination that works. But for sure, you'd want to rule out any physical causes with your vet first it you can. And I've found that there is no replacing touch and reassurance, and that's free. Good luck!

I can only answer using what I've seen after using both the defusers and the sprays. I have 5 cats and each cat seems affected differantly by the products. In my opinion you would have a better outcome if you used the spray. That way you can spray the area that you'll be working in and then just wait for your cats to get relaxed. My cats seem to get very sleepy when I use the spray or use a brand new defuser. I guess the sleepiness could help with grooming and trimming their nails since they won't be all stressed.

Our cat paws at our plantation shutters

At night (when we're trying to sleep!) our male cat, who is about 2 yrs old and has no front claws, paws/scratches our plantation shutters. Of course it's noisy and irritating. We don't know if he senses an animal outside. Could this product help/prevent him from doing that.
