It has a static nozzle that can be turned off and a set of hoses that can be positioned where you want them. I think it will depend what type of cage you have. I have a screen reptibreeze and the hoses will not fit on the inside without cutting holes in the screen.

yes. actually comes with two hoses and can be adjusted to work inside or outside the cage.

The ReptiRain Automatic Mister holds 28 oz of water. It should hold plenty of water to mist a terrarium for a day while you are at work. If it is programmed to mist for a long duration very frequently (like 60 seconds every hour) it will need to be refilled more often than if it is programmed to run for a shorter duration or less frequently (example 30 seconds ever 3 hours or 60 seconds every 6 hours etc...)
