I would never reccomend using this spray directly on rats or mice since it is not labeled to do so. However, I will say that one time in a moment of desperation we used it on some mice who had tropical rat mites and it worked pretty well. We bathed them a few minutes afterward. Again, for legal reasons, I cannot actually tell you this is safe, but only speak from my experience.

As long as you make sure to thoroughly clean out the tank before usage and to rinse and dry it off afterwards, there's no reason you can't use the spray on your Python.

No. I sprayed it on a paper towel and wiped it on my snake.
