The installation of this door does not require you to drill holes in the wall or door. The only piece that would require that would be the lock installation which goes through the insert and the sliding door. We did not install that piece and it is great.

Ous was installed in a Wood Frame Patio door and works great. From what I have seen with ours, it would also be compatible with a Vinyl Patio Door.

Should I order the small or the medium patio pet door for my 3 cats?

Two of my cats would fit ok for the small but the other cat is about 14lbs and I worried that it may be a tight fit for her to get in and out. I am leaning toward the medium. What do you think?

I would go with the medium. My cat is about 9 lbs. and fits the small door, but it's low and she has to duck through it. We love it, but for bigger cats I would suggest the medium.

Satin means aluminum in pet product lingo, white still means white.

Yes, you can still use the door. The opening will be smaller of coarse. It comes with a latch/lock that you attach to your current door and the dog door. You simply open the lock and slide the door. If you have the dog door installed tightly, it will remain in place and you walk on out.

Is there pet door for a sliding glass door that can be installed for doggie use then swing out of the way.

we only have a sliding glass door that is 2'-6" on the operating side. Would be nice to be able to have a pet door that we could use for the dogs but be able to swing it out of the way to make more accessible room to go in and out and to be able to slide the door closed and lock.
