Questions & Answers for MAX Nutro MAX CAT Gourmet Classics Canned Kitten Food

Question

Is your Max Cat canned food (for Adult cats) appropiate for 5 month old cats?

When we adopted our two cats last Saturday, we were told to purchase the Max Cat adult food. A little worried if they should be eating adult food at their age. What do you consider the age of an adult cat?

Typically, a cat is considered an adult at 1 year. The main reason for feeding kitten food is that the higher fat/protein content is good for supporting growth. I wouldn't see any reason that they couldn't eat the adult food, as long as you watch their growth and weight. Or, if they've been eating the adult food, the kitten version of the same brand should be fine.

Question

what is the calorie content in large can of maxi cat for kittens.

I am using this for a seniour tonkenese who needs to keep what little weight she has. So far a combo of maxi kitten and a/d from vet works along with 1/2 and 1/2 dry food. Just wondered what the caloric count might be as she sometimes likes a jar of baby food as a treat at 50 cal. Of course the more calories the better. thankyou
