The cord is a heavyduty, industrial type cord around 69" long. Heat is not adjustable, but is 20 Watts. Other comparable beds were much lower wattage.

answer 2
The cord is 5 1/2' long. The heat is not adjustable but it is self regulating. In other words, there is no heat in the pad until the animal lies on it, then it warms to the perfect body temperature for coziness.

Cord is around 70" and industrial strength. Bed is approx. 14" x 18" They may come in larger size - I think I ordered medium. Cover is easily removable for cleaning in washing machine. Cannot wad up at all - the pad is stiff.

You cannot use these pads out in the open. If there is a dog house or proper covered area, like a well covered porch available, with a proper outlet to plug it in, it is good for out door use if the information for the product says good for outdoor use. K&H does have a small heated pet pad for the little critters, like rabbits. Please read the guide lines for use with any heated pads purchased.
