Thank you for your question dufferdoodle. Yes, The Zilla Calcium Supplement would be good for a Russian Tortoise. If you are unsure if your pet needs calcium the best thing to do is to consult a vet.

Unless it specifies on the bottle that you're supposed to do something like that, stick to the recommended usage passage. I would suggest removing your herp from their enclosure and into a clean plastic bin lined with paper towel for treatment. Good luck.

See a vet! Get some calcium into his diet too, I believe spray could be affective as long as you let it dry before releasing your turtle back into the water.

Turtles generally get shell conditions because they don't have a basking area. Basking areas are essential for the turtle to dry himself off, this usually reduces the risk of shell conditions.

Question

Description says this product can be used on Amphibians (Frogs)

In your question and answer section someone asked if this product could be used on Frogs. Petco answered NO but it clearly states in your description "This proven formula is readily absorbed into virtually any reptile or amphibian's bloodstream, assimilated directly into bone tissue." A Frog is an Amphibian. Apparently this could have been a helpful product for the person asking the initial question and could possibly save a frogs life due to Calcium deficiency. I hope Petco looks into this more closely and makes corrections where needed. Thank you
