Well I am sure they are both are great products but my kitty took to the pro plan wet food better. He just snubbed the science diet but actually ate the pro plan. But to answer the question I am unsure if the pro plan helps dissolve structure uroliths bc my cat only got a UTI one time and since then we have changed his food to help prevent another one, but what I do know is that it doesn't matter bc if my cat isn't going to eat the science diet anyway so he can't get any benefit from it if he won't eat it..

Great question, and we're happy to clarify! Unlike a prescription formula, our Focus Urinary Tract Health food helps to maintain urinary tract health by reducing urinary pH. If you were looking to compare prescription formulas, please give our Purina Veterinary Diets team a call at 800-879-1266. - The Pro Plan Team

Yes. If your cat has urinary crystals or a UTI you will want to transfer them to wet food because their kidneys cannot breakdown only dry food all the time.
