Questions & Answers for KONG KONG Stuff'N Puppy Paste Easy Treat

Question

Kong Spray...How messy is it?

I have a 50lb, 5 month puppy who I'm thinking about getting a kong and spray for. However, I have carpets on most of the flooring in my house. Will it get on and into my carpet? If so how easy is it to get out of carpet?

Do what I do and freeze it--no mess. Keeps the puppy busy licking his puppycicles.

I made the mistake of buying this for my big boy when he was younger. It stained one of my rugs so badly I had to throw it out. Now I stick with a good quality canned food. He is less messy about it and it doesn't stain. I usually use Wilderness canned food by Blue Buffalo. Petco carries Freedom by Blue Buffalo for puppies, and that works great too! It's just food, but the pups think it's a treat!

answer 3
If you spray it in the kong, it doesn't have a chance to get on the carpet as the dogs lick it to get it out. They aren't going to waste any.

It will definitely get on your carpet, but it should clean up real easy. But you will want to clean it up real quick or your puppy may try to clean it up for you and maybe pull some carpet fibers with it.

If you're talking about the KONG filling (that comes out like cheese whiz), I've never had any problems with it making a mess on either my hardwood or carpets. The KONGs get a little extra slobbery, but that's to be expected. It's worth it for how much my dogs love it and how much of a life-saver it can be when I need them to settle down.

I would skip the spray if your worried about a mess. Try other things to stuff your dogs Kong. My personal fav for my dog is to mix peanutbutter, dry dog kibble, and a little bit of meat fat from my dinner leftovers. Stuff the kong with the goop and freeze it over night and give it to your pup as a treat. It will entertain him/her for at least an hour and is less likely to make a mess on your floor plus its still safe for them to eat and will cost you less.

Seven weeks should be fine. I started my puppy on it at 8. It's easy to lick up. I use the puppy kongs since they are so small. It's like a small dab of cheeze whiz.

It's good for all ages, but I'd recommend a canned puppy food like Blue Buffalo, Natural Balance, or Wellness. It's MUCH better quality, and just food, but your pup will think it's a treat! Congratulations on your puppy!

I'd also look into one of those foods for his/her main diet, too!
