I have it on my dog during the day when he's active, but at night I take it off. You can leave it on all day, I suppose, but just make sure that you check everyday to see if the collar is getting too tight or loose.

I would definitely only put the collar on your dog for walks, and take it off immediately after. Sometimes their paw can get hung up in the safety line, and end up distressing your pup. Not to mention they might get frustrated after a while, and learn to take it off, and you wouldn't want them to learn that too quickly.

Are these collar bark collars in addition to the training capabilities....or do you have to have the controller and zap the dog yourself for barking???

You have the controller so you zap the dog yourself, it is not an automatic shocking collar.

Question

We have a 3 month-old Standard Parti Poodle. We live on 1 acre lot and cannot have a fence and do not want to put in underground fence as there are so

many trees. Question: will the small dog collar be sufficient? I feel she will learn fast. She weighs about 16 lbs now, but will probably get up to 65 at full maturity.
Also, does it come with flags to mark her boundaries?

This doesnt come with flags but it would work on an acre of land even with a dense trees. Your house sounds like where I live. It works great but You must be there to teach her her boundries.

Didn't work with my elkhound. she has to much hair and I didn't want to shave her neck to make it work. My sheltie however learned well, the batteries have been dead for over a year and if the collor is on he is one well behaved little brat.

How 'waterproof' is this product?

We live at the lake in the summer and there is no way to keep the dog away from the water. Will this product work after it has been submerged?

I have a dog who loves the water so i feel ur pain. My dog has went swimming with no adverse effects to collar. There is a rubbler cap that must be replaced into opening after each charging to make it totally waterproof. If u remember it It is going to be ok to swim in too , mine is.

I doubt this collar would adjust small enough. I was just able to adjust small enough for my 8# yorkiepoo.

Does your Petsafe remote trainer collars work around electric horse fencing.

We living on a horse farm where the dogs run in between the fields. The fencing are constructed with 12- 1/2 gauge elec. wire so my question is, Would my horse ELEC. FENCES interfere with the COLLAR??
