Epi-Otic Advanced has a different formula which includes a drying agent not found in regular Epi-Otic. It is particularly good for use prior to applying ear medications like those for Otitis Externis. The regular formula is usually fine for normal cleaning if no infection or other abnormalities exist. I am a registered veterinary technician. If you are concerned about your pet's ears, please consult a veterinarian and follow her instructions.
