I've used a 46 Gallon bow front stand from aquatic fundamentals, which provides a 1/2 inch gap at the sides and an inch in the front, but falls just short by an inch at the front edges due to the bow shape. I used this to fit the dimensions of the space that I had at home. Otherwise, I would suggest using anything which has a full flat surface coverage with dimensions about a inch greater than the aquarium dimensions (36 x 15) itself. I would not recommend a steel stand which only supports the corners, as the weight on this aquarium is distributed evenly across the surface.
