Questions & Answers for 3M 3M Pet Care Self-Adherent Pet Bandage Wrap

Question

Is it sticky enough to hold still?

My dog has a cut on his elbow, and I've bought the adhesive wrap for people, but it always slides down, probably because it's his elbow. Just wondering if it's worth getting the ones for dogs.

Yes. This is great stuff. Our vet used it to wrap our dogs paw but we do have to put a cloth tape on the top part of the wrap to keep it from slipping down. The tape will stick to her fur so be careful when you remove it. Also, never strech this tight on the leg. You just have to wrap it without streching and it will stick to itself. Never let your pet eat / chew on this.

Question

Will these stay on an active dog?

I jump my dog over hurdles I have on my lawn, and I was looking into wraps for him so he doesn't strain his tendons. Will these work?

Not sure how supportive they are for Prevention. May want to wrap ace bandage style wrap first and this on top to keep it. I use this for an active 80lb laboradooddle that runs and jumps so hard chasing balls long distances that he sometimes wears the skins on the back of his back legs. Most dogs have callouses there, but his skin is tender on those spots. I've also put it on for a toenail injury. It stays on great, he doesnt try to get it off, but this too, wears down with active running. But is the ONLY thing that stays on! I can fashion booties too if ever necessary! I may do that for pet therapy days so his longer poodle inherited type nails wont scratch anyone. It would be PERFECT for this! will stock up from now on!!!
