it is an octagon, hence no length or width. the diameter is the first dimension shown. eg: 49 " x 46" means it is 46" 'diameter" across the octagon. the Height dimension is last listed.

Even if that side collapses in, it will most likely spring back into place, if it doesn't, the dog will not get hurt, and still be safe and contained.
