If you look at all the stairs dimensions,the height that is listed is the actual height.

The Stairs are 30 inches high and would accomadate any dog up to 100 or more pounds.

I have a jack russell who likes to sit and watch out the window and I would like some stairs he can walk up and sit on top.window is 31 inches high.

the top ot this set of stairs appears slanted . is it too slanted for my jack russell to sit or lie on?

The top step is flat but there isn't a ton of room to lay down. It is likely that it wouldn't be terribly comfortable for your jack russell.

My minischnauzer loves to sit on the top step, even though the low table near the window was our intended target. The slant is no more than 8 degrees. No problem.

Yes, the stairs are slightly at an angle. He would most likely not want to lie on the step (my Westie uses them but seems confused about the angle, and I know she wouldn't stay on them for any length of time).

I wouldn't recommend these steps for that. They are bulky to move around and the steps are shallow and close together. It is possible a ramp would be easier on your pups joints.

The larger set of stairs are 24" high. My bed is 30" tall, and my 2.5 lb. yorkie does not have any problem getting up or down the last 6 inches, so I feel sure your little yorkie could manage the 3 inch difference between the steps and your bed.
