I have a 95 lb labradoodle and I use the one for large dogs. He has a wavy double coat and this works really well. Do it outside as you will find a lot of hair comes out

I would recommend the one for short hair. I have the Furminator for long coats (which is for coats 2 inches or longer). I don't think it would work very well for a lab. For the type coats most labs -I have seen- they would need the one for short coats.

Would try the Ultimate Touch Mat Removing Comb professional non-slip grip instead of the Furminator. I use a Furminator on my Labradoodle with a wavy coat and it is fantastic, however I have another labradoodle with a dense curly coat and it was useless. This other brush did for Teddy what the furminator does for Moose

I would say the Large or Extra Large for long coated breeds. I use the Large on my Collie. She's a big dog. I didn't get the x-tra large because it was just too big for the comfort of my hand & wasn't comfortable with the size for ease of use in getting into the nooks & crannies (that's just a personal preference.

Depends on how big he is. My GS is 97 lbs. and I use the large which is 4 inches wide as opposed to the Giant which is 5 inches.

You definitely want to get the Furminator Furjector which has a button that exjects the fur. Well worth the extra money.

the largest, however I would also try the Ultimate Touch Mat Removing comb, professional non-slip grip brush as this worked brilliantly on my labradoodle's dense curly coat - better than the Furminator which I have and love for my other labradoodle whose coat is more wavy

Well if matted bad you will have to cut away the dreadlock's first.
My labradoodle is in and out of pool all day long, lol.
Once a week I use conditioner on him and then use the large FURminator to detangle and groom 2 - 3 times a week. He loves it. Sir Elric is a Shagadoole not a Teddybear doodle. I am sure if your's is a teddybear use it while wet and it should work awesome!!!

Our King Shepherd puppy weighed just over 60 pounds when we bought our furminator. His hair will eventually be long hair, but it's medium now, so I purchased the long hair brush for large dogs since I didn't want to buy multiple brushes. I recommend the long hair brush based on your dog's size and hair length.
