The collor is adjustable for all sizes. We have two pugs so they have smaller necks, and just sized it down to them and cut the extra off as its just a nylon weaved collar. It was big enough and had enough room in it to fit very large dogs as well

I got the small for my 11 lb Yorkie mix and it was plenty big enough and could have been tightened more for a dog with a smaller neck. It says it fits 7-14" dog necks. After I adjusted it for my dog II had a lot of the strap left hanging so I cut the extra off and seared the edges of the strap with a candle flame to seal them from unraveling so there would not be so much extra strap hanging down. However, the buckle does not hold the collar in size very well and it tends to loosen as the dog wears it from the weight of the device.

One remote per collar, they will not interchange. you'll have to find a way to mark them so you don't correct the wrong dog.

I think you need both remotes but remember, the idea is to get them out of that moment. Once you get them out of that moment, they will change their behavior overall. Suggestion, watch Cesar Millan on National Geographic TV. It's and eye opener and using his techniques plus this collar is a recipe for success.

Hope it works!

I bought a shock collar for my dog. Maybe I am a wimp, but if I couldn't shock myself with it, I couldn't shock my dog with it. It has these 2 huge metal prongs that are suppose to touch your dogs neck. What if they hit it against something.
I bought the Pet Tags Remote Dog Trainer. It has 2 modes: Vibrate, and sound. The vibrate just vibrates around their neck. It scared my dog at first, but it wasn't painful. The sound, sounds like a smoke alarm in your house, but not as loud. You control the amount of time these are on. It doesn't take much time. The idea is to distract them, change their focus, not hurt the dogs. That is my opinion anyway.

Question

How does the automatic setting work?

I ordered the Pet Tags Dog Trainer and you can choose from an automatic or manual setting. I understand the manual setting but not so much the automatic. What does it automatically do? There were no instructions for this setting.

The automatic setting means the bark collar will go off when the dog barks. But beware that it can also go off in the automatic setting if someone else's dog barks around your own dog.

The Pet Tags Remote Dog Trainer - has options for sound or vibration and varying levels for more or less intensity. We use it on our pugs to curb excessive barking as well as jumping up on people and so far its been working great! Dogs will always bark a little and be excited to see people, but this has definately helped curb the excessive behaviors!

I think you've obviously gotten a bad one, unless your dvd player is broken. You can contact the company and tell them the dvd doesn't work and they should mail out a new one with no problem.

Question

I purchased a Pettags remote dog collar about 4 months ago and it is not working for the past couple weeks. What is the warranty?

I have charged the battery several times and replaced the battery in the remote. The light flashes as though the remote is working but there is no signal sound or vibrate. It never did hold a charge longer than a couple days and I rarely use the correction.
