He is 6 Months old, only had him for a little over a month.

If you can't pick it up right away, maybe try using a spray? I was fostering a golden mix and she would pick it up all the time. I had to keep a close eye on her and would catch her if she got it. We looked into some stool sprays that would deter her away from it, but she was adopted before we got some. Either a spray or a treat that makes their poo smell bad to them.
