No I don't think this is strong enough for your full grown chameleon. My crested gecko is only 25 grams and it has broken the large plant twice.

I have two 8 year old Red Eared Sliders with shells approx. 4 inches in diameter, and they are top heavy. They do fine on this ramp and platform. Plus, they jump off it and dive into the water, and the ramp stays in place.

I purchased this plant thinking it could be used in water. However, when I received it there was an attached note saying not to use it in water. I hope this helps.

I would not recommend it! It is specifically made for reptiles and amphibians. It is made of silk but don't use! At least in my opinion!
