baking soda should work in the box...or PLAIN charcoal crushed up will absorb odors. Damp Rid has a new product with charcoal that absorbs odors...

You could also wipe down the inside with some white vinegar

Question

Is the stuff you add to the cat box for odor safe if a dog should eat it?

My dog, like a lot of them, likes to eat stuff in the cat box. YUK ! But need to be sure the odor eliminator for cat box will not harm him.
Also, any ideas how to get my old cat to use her litter box since there is now a new cat addition to the family? She is peeing on rugs instead of in the box. Thanks for any help..

This is 100% zeolite. Some people feed it to their pets and eat it themselves as a digestive aid. Yuck!. It's safe.
