This bulb is some what low in visible light. A 6700K would
be better for plants than a 12000K and would be better than
the Flora Sun in tanks that are deep like a 55Gal. I use two
single bulb light fixtures on separate timers 12/6 hrs for
simulating bright mid day light. With two of these bulbs you
get slightly less visible light than one 6700K. Read up on what light level your fish like before making your choice because if they
are fish who prefer low light then this is the right bulb.
