Questions & Answers for Lafeber's Lafeber's Pellet-Berries Parrot Food

Question

Do you have the large size of Lafeber's Pellet-Berries Parrot Food?

The 12 ounce container does not last long and is not a good value, even on sale. Please advise when the you have the large size available. In the meantime, I will have to shop elsewhere which doesn't make either of us very happy.
Thanks,
Ken

Question

Does this food perish if it is not in the container?

I am trying to make foraging toys for my conure. I need to know if these treats are okay sitting in a toy for a while.

its ok, but only for a day or so. if it gets wet at all (can get wet from saliva) then it will spoil and start to get bacteria on it, which can make your bird very ill. I found its best to store this food in a sealable container, as is any pet food, to keep from moister, bugs, and fresh for your bird. hope I helped! shelled nuts is what I would use. but always check your birds snacks to make sure its not spoiled or wet. good luck!!
