No, your best bet for a hamster is going to be a leash made for a reptile--like a small iguana or monitor. Still, even if it would fit, I would imagine it would be very tough to get the hamster to sit still long enough to put the harness on, and even harder to get it to stay on. Leashes aren't a great option for animals that small, as they'll generally be inefficient, impractical, or unsafe. Playpens and shirt pockets are the way to go :)

no this is way to big for a hamster even when its the smallest size you could put it.

i just bought it in the small size and is wayyy too small for my guinea pig, but im pretty sure the medium or large would be fine for guinea pigs.

Lol. One strap goes around the neck, and the other right under the front legs. Just like any harness. I believe it's called Critter Jeans because it's made out of Denim, the same as jeans, not because they're pants.
