Yes it can. You'll just need to cut a small hole for the nozzle or tubing and then attach it to the screen with a small tack or push pin. Or tie up with wire.

I use it in mine, I just think you might need to have it mist more often, or else it won't stay humid enough in there, I set mine for every 2-3 hours to mist. And turn it off at night.

It will work but you might need two they can hold up to six nozzles but performance will differ

As far as the plastic walls, I would say yes, but maybe mist not as often.

I don't believe there is a filter? I haven't ripped mine apart to look for one, But you are supposed to use Distilled water in it. If you haven't been, then all the gunk in your tap water, like calcium is clogging the orifices.
