Thanks for your question. The Autolock Pressure Gate + 1 of each of the available extensions (one is 5 inches; one is 10 inches) will cover that span. Each extension is sold separately. Hope this helps!

All of our gates are designed to remain latched and locked for maximum safety. We don't have a model that does what you describe. I don't know of a gate model that remains open. The only option is to uninstall the gate.
