Will anyone who owns this leash please answer this: Does the leash just sit on a circular ring and expand over the head ... or?

I am looking for the version that has a stop attachment so that the dog's head cannot just slip out of it. Can you tell me if this is just the ring or has something else for a safety precaution? I ask because my 2 are ESCAPE artists if they can figure out a way to do it --- they are PBGVs and very smart!

It actually has allows you to place the lead around the head right behind the ears. And there is a safty piece that yu would slid down to close the space then there is another piece that goes over that. So it should be difficult for them to escape. I only had to make one adjustment on a 30 minute walj but it was more so me checking to make sure it was still in place. But it is adjustable unlike most of them out their on the market.
