Just make sure the hammock is turned inwards, just in case. Someone mentioned that theirs failed. However, I have not had the problem with my 10 pounder. You might want to consider reinforcing by using several drywall screws, if you are handy. Face it you can't keep a cat off of anything if that is where they are going.
I have 3 cats and one of them are always on it (except dinnertime).

Yes, it can HOLD them, but a heavier cat cannot use the cat hammock.
