Questions & Answers for Marshall Pet Products Marshall Pet Products Pop-N-Play Ferret Ball Pit Toy

Question

Do the balls fit through the holes?

Because you know if the ferret fuzzies can pull them out of the holes all the balls will end up stashed underneath my couch. Not that my little Puck won't just climb out the top with them anyway. Buy this looks like something my little business would enjoy if there is at least an attempt to keep them inside the holder.

The balls do fit through the holes. However, they are too slick for my ferrets to grab a hold of, but they end up playing/kicking them out of the holes. Not a lot of them, but a couple end up outside the box.

answer 2
The balls are pretty much impossible for them to grab onto, too slippery for little ferret teeth!

The balls can be carried through the holes (and quite easily over the top). My oldest ferret baby loves to carry them around to "fight" with lol. It is adorable and I highly recommend this toy! :)

Question

Do you recommend this for a rabbit?

My girl is 9 pounds-- just wondering if she'll like it. I don't want to spend the money just to have her not like it.

Well, it's a maybe. The balls are plastic and hollow on the inside. She might be able to play in it, I don't know how much weight the balls can take, but I had some pretty, well not skinny, ferrets and the balls lasted a while. If not, I'm sure she would still love the pit herself. I mean, it's up to you. :)

answer 2
a rabbit wouldn't know what to do with a ball pit ;) (or be able to fit through the side holes)

if you're looking for a good toy for a bunny, I highly recommend:
Petco Blue & White Crinkle Tunnel for Cats - http://www.petco.com/product/118000/Petco-Blue-And-White-Crinkle-Tunnel-for-Cats.aspx
or WARE Fun Tunnel - http://www.petco.com/product/116627/WARE-Fun-Tunnel-for-Small-Animals.aspx?CoreCat=OnSiteSearch
I have both and my two bunnies love them (especially the crinkly one)!

I believe the balls are made of plastic, so yes, they do make a bit of noise when they fall on the ground. However, no, a person wouldn't slip on them. The balls are made that way purposely. They are hollow on the inside. Weak enough to be stepped on, but tough enough to maintain good condition with ferret play.

Question

Are these good for Hedgehogs?

I bought him a little truck and he loves it, and a couple of squishy balls, so I was wondering how he would feel in here!

You could try this with your hedgehog. If your hedgehog doesn't like it, you will see by his body language and facial expression. I try different things with my chinchillas and degus. Some work, some don't. I just give it to a ferret rescue, if it is safe for them to use it, if your hedgehog doesn't like it.
