Questions & Answers for Good Pet Stuff Good Pet Stuff Aquiline Travelin' Dog Pet Carseat

Question

Does this effectively strap a dog in?

My dog can wiggle out of a lot of stuff. I was wondering if this will keep him in. I usually take his carrier and put him in the back seat but he is constantly crying (even up to 4 hours constantly) while in the car in his crate.

I can't imagine any way your dog could wiggle out of this car seat. Your dog will get out of it's collar or harness before escaping this seat. The buckle is very strong and large and it has a three point harness.

answer 3
Yes, but use the harness instead if the collar. Down side of this product the folding legs kept folding in.

Missy doesn't like to be caged in either so I went with this carseat hoping she would like it and she does. She does lean over it pretty far but with the harness it works fine. She likes looking out the window now as it makes her higher in the seat. I would recommend you try this out. I too use a crate in the car and she has been ok with it but as we are getting ready to travel I wanted her to have a little more freedom and so far this is working. I liked this one as the seatbelt came around the front of it and holds it better.

Any pet seat will be safer in the back seat and it would be dangerous if you have a front passenger air bag, but I have mine in the front seat so I can pet her and she has a better view. Seat belt keeps it very secure.

answer 2
I wouldn't suggest putting in the front seat. Airbag issue. Don't want airbag to eject to hit the little guy if you get into an accident.

answer 3
Yes, it is safe. The seat belt's shoulder and lap bands help to keep this booster secure, and there are hooks for your dog's harness that secure him. Please remember to NEVER use their collar to secure them but use a harness instead. I bought the double so it may be a little wide for my front seat, but I think that really just depends on your particular car.

The seat belt does indeed go through the assigned holes that keep the doggie seat secure. There is also a strap to attach to a dog's harness, but if I am using it in the front seat, I automatically use the "baby-hold-back" arm if I have to stop more quickly than I would normally choose.

All three straps culminate in a single clip hook that attaches to the loop on your dog's harness. You simply need to tighten the straps to keep him snugly in place.
