Absolutely, but you must better gauge if your kids are thoughtful enough for ferrets.

Ferrets love playing and running and are very high energy, tolerant, and fun! But they are also somewhat fragile, kids need to mind where they step, where they sit, and not be too rough with the ferrets.

They need to be able to be stern and teach the ferrets not to bite or else you'll end up with a biter.

Also your kids will need to be clean and not leave small toys and things on the floor. Ferrets have extremely sensitive digestive tracts. They LOVE rubber, so you need to be mindful about what items are on the floor and what ferrets can potentially get to and eat. Their tracts are easy to block and some can only be removed via surgery.
