yes, yes, the hay helps with the digestion, and they will eat a lot of it, a lot more than you get in the dried food.

They should always have hay and guinea pig food in a bowl available at all times EVERY DAY. They should have fresh water as well. You can feed them fresh vegetables as a treat a few times a week. But they are nibblers and must have hay at all times or their teeth will grow too long. They also can not store vitamin C in their bodies and you must provide guinea pig food so that they get that every day.

A Guinea pig should be given 1/8 - 1/4 cup of pellet food per day.

One 5lb bag should last two guinea pigs a couple weeks.
