If you are going to do saltwater, you need to be experienced with fish. I cannot, personally, say that I would ever recommend someone to use a 1 gallon tank for saltwater fish. Your fish are more delicate and sensitive thank freshwater fish. They need an environment much like the ocean (i.e. BIG).

No harsh detergents , clear water, soft clean cloth and a lot of buffing.
