answer 1
Gurgling noise is from air in the system. Drawing should have been in the box. Fill 2/3 full - put 2 lines on tank - turn on for 10 seconds and then turn off - all the air should run up the lines and bubble out in the tank - turn back on and you're done.

answer 2
Fill the whole canister up with water-either saltwater or dechlorinated water.
Turn it on. If it only fills half way, turn it off, let it siphon. It should fill itself up.
Depending upon what you put in the canister, it may take a couple of start and stops.
When running the micron filter, it clogs very fast depending upon how bad your water is.
I only run them for a day or two, then take them out and clean them.

answer 3
If you are having trouble getting the filter canister to fill up automatically then do it manually: Fill the canister almost to the top and seal everything up. Close the "out" valve and leave the "in" valve open. Turn the filter on. Open the "out" valve.

answer 4
Check the seals around the lid. The canister should be full, that is why you are getting that gurgling sound. Also make sure the clips on the lid are all tightly closed. Lastly, make sure the intake in the tank is not to close to any air stones or bubbling devices... Hope this helps..
