The Kcal per gram is 4.06 or 4060 ME Kcal/kg (freeze dried pork liver). Although freeze dried liver is an excellent source of protein, it is still a calorie dense food. Calories in, calories out still count ... if your pooch is overweight, limit the amount of treats. With that said, these treats are still better than feeding biscuits, etc. which are loaded with carbs.

As with any treat or food moderation is the key. Over feeding of anything - even this treat log - is not good for your pet. What kind of training and treating would you be doing if you over use the daily recommended portion?

YES! The product is made from USDA inspected liver and the country of origin is USA. There are also no additives or preservatives. My dogs absolutely love these treats, and I love that they are made here using USA sourced products.
