Questions & Answers for ZuPreem ZuPreem Premium Ferret Diet

Is this food good for kits?

My mother says that I need to learn more about ferrets before I can get one (or two). The reviews for this product are very good, but none have mentioned feeding it to kits.

You can fees this food to a kit, just water it down a good bit. Wouldn't hurt to add a dab of duck soup to it. A mushy paste is a good texture for babies.

No, not at all. Marshall is a bad food entirely for any age of ferret because of its low quality ingredients.

For 2 month old kits, you feed them kibble just as you would any other ferret, but like I said, Marshall is a bad food.

Yes you can feed it to kits. If the Kit is ready to be adopted out then you can fed them this dry diet. I would recommend making a small container of "soup" for them for the first couple of days out of it as wel as offering the dry too. To make the soup use 1 part food to 3 parts warm water. you want is to be the consistancy of a thickened gravy. I always put the dry food in a baggy and crush it before mixing the warm water. It just makes it easier for you. I would also recommend getting 2 at a time. They need a playmate or they get bored and then get into everything. Also use the Goodbye Odor in the drinking water as directed. It really does work with cutting down on the smell. I have 3 of them and wouldn't trade them for anything. They're very smart and loving. They also have a book out called Ferrets for Dummies. Get it and read it. It explains alot and is very helpful.
