Same price if I go to store?

I want to buy Natural Balance Duck and Potato dog food in the large bag. It is on sale at your website. I do not purchase things on line, but do go to the local Petco store (Holman Road in Seattle). Will instore price be the same as the website sale price if I go to that store?

Im not sure if you pay tax where you live but we dont, and i've found that instore is way cheaper than online. Which I found weird because most sites are always cheaper online than in store. Hope this helps!

Hello Gordy,
Based on experience, the prices you see listed online are not the same if you go to the store (vise versa). It would be nice if they were.

No, the prices are higher at the store unless it says in store or is on sale at the store. You can look at the store weekly sale circular for your store online. I doesn't list all sale items, but it might show them. I called my local store to ask this same question. You can also call and ask what the price of a specific item is, they will tell you.

They were at my store, but this isn't a question you should ask on here. You should probably consider calling your local Petco to ask this question.

Look for the red "ribbon" across the bags. Although description may not say small bites - it is written in the "Red Ribbon"I use Limited Ingredient natural balance L.I.D. the only small bites in this type is Duck and Potato...Not sure if other varieties of this food are in small bite size. Again look for red "ribbon"

Just go to the organic foods. dry dog food. I think all of the dry food comes in either small or large. You just need to tell them which one you want, the small dog kibble or the large dog kibble.

Natural Balance is amazing. I feed it to all my rescues, including a lab/husky mix. I used to feed other foods, including some other high end brands, but have found that I get better results for a cheaper price with Natural Balance..plus it is the only food one of my more sensitive dogs can eat. It's great stuff!

The way my vet explained it, the more uncommon the ingredient the less likely your dog will be allergic to it. My dog is allergic to chicken, and he can eat duck formulas as long as it is grain free. Good luck!

Question

Is there a choice about Natural Balance Duck & Potato L.I.D.?

I want the small bites (for smaller breeds if possible. I ordered today (8614783) a large bag to be shipped to me. I want to make sure it is the smaller size of nuggets. In other words. Help me make sure I am getting the same dogfood in the smaller size bites. My dog does well with that. He has digestive issues and we need "small breed bites" Is that possible? If my order is not set for "small breed bites" please let me adjust it before shipping. thanks.

I follow the directions on the bag, I feed the Rottweiler 2 cups in the morning and 2 cups in the evening (she weighs 80 lbs.) I feed the Cattle Dog mix 1 cup in the morning and 2 cups in the evening,(she weighs 60 lbs.) If you are changing the food start with 3/4 regular food and 1/4 of Natural Balance, after a few days mix it half and half, after a few more days have the mix reversed-3/4 Natural Balance and 1/4 Science Diet, finally after a few more days feed only the Natural Balance.

Question

Is this dog food similar or close enough to the hypoallergenic expensive kind you get through your vet by a script?

My vet's office told me you can't buy the food they sell anywhere else. However, my husband found this "different brand" duck and potato hypoallergenic dog food here on Petco website and were wondering if it's basically the same thing? We have a golden retriever who has had 5-6 skin rashes/staph infections/ear infections in the past 2 years despite repetitive antibiotic treatments, special shampoos, and ear cleanings. A 7.7lb bag cost $33 dollars and we are supposed to give him 6 or more cups per day! That's ridiculously expensive, especially with us having a baby come January 2014! Any help? I'm going to compare ingredients tonight when I get home from work. An obvious difference is that you have to have a veterinarian prescription for the food we get at the vet, but you don't need one for petco's natural food. Anyone else have this issue before?

I had the same problem as you and bought this Natural Balance L.I.D. grain free food and I believe it has helped both my cocker spaniels with their itching, scratching, etc. It has also helped with their digestion and they both have healthy stools and no more loose stools. Their skin problems were not as severe as your poor puppy though. One of my dogs has chronic ear infections that have not been helped with this food.

Jasper is a JR Terrier about 12lbs. He was having bad ear problems. The vet recommended switching him to a grain and beef free food. Since we've been feeding Jasper this food, his ear problems have vanished. And he loves the food. I'm not a vet, but you might want to check this food out if the price is right for you.

Natural Balance Limited Ingredients dog foods are grain free and therefore much more easily digested by dogs. I think this alone has caused both my dogs to achieve normal weights and maintain them without a great deal of exercise. Natural Balance has a "light" version but I think their limited ingredients versions will accomplish healthy weight alone.

Question

Is this food processed in a facility that also handles chicken, grains, etc (Ie, is there a risk of cross-contamination)?

My greyhound has very sensitive skin and is allergic to ingredients that I haven't quite narrowed all of down yet, but she has been doing well on a prescription duck and potato hypoallergenic food (that is breaking the bank). Would love to switch to a more economic alternative if I can find something that will not set off her allergies again (= awful pustules that erupt all over her body).

Thanks!!

My dog is most likely allergic to chicken (she had skin problems and was very itchy, and her symptoms were much worse when she had chicken dog food or chicken treats). She has been on the potato/duck LID food for a few months now, and she has improved immensely. So if there is cross-contamination with chicken, it's probably minimal.
